The Alakai Jaycees @ HPU was chartered by the
Honolulu Chinese Jaycees in 1995, with the purpose to provide young people at Hawaii Pacific University the opportunity to gain and develop personal and leadership skills through
community and organizational involvement. Alakai has continued to strive to fulfill the mission through active planning and implementation of large-impact projects that
range from promoting cultural awareness through World Exploration, to a fun competition between chapters through Jaycees Olympics, to providing career building opportunities such
as Resume Workshop and Self Marketing Seminars and personal investing seminars.
