About the Hawaii Jaycees Personal Improvement Program

 

The Hawaii Jaycees Personal Improvement Program consists of three modules designed to develop your personal and career skills.

The first module will consist of Effective Listening, Handling Criticism and Raising Self-Esteem/Positive Mental Attitude.

The second Module will consist of Time Management, Stress Management and Dealing with Difficult People.

The third Module will consist of Presentation Skills, Public Speaking, Writing to Inform vs. Writing to Convince and Debate/Argumentation.

The Program is run over 3 months with a module provided each month.  The Program will be run twice in 2003 during the months: January-March, and September-November.

All trainers will be professional trainers with skills and knowledge from the business community.

 

About The Faculty

Don Sepe

-Award winning presenter for Inscape Publishing Company

-Presenter at the annual Bob Pike “Creative Training Techniques”, an international conference for trainers

-Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hawaii Pacific University

-Master of Arts in Psychology from Hawaii Pacific University

-Adjunct instructor in Management and Business Courses at Hawaii Pacific University

Clientele: Veterans Administration, City and County of Honolulu, St. Francis Hospital, Goodwill Industries, Shriners Hospital, Kaiser Permanente, State of Hawaii,Various hotels and resorts

 

Lita Delahunty

-Certified trainer for AchieveGlobal’s Leadership for Results workshops

-Trainer for the Hawaii Chapter of the Financial Education Center, which offers courses for banking professionals

Current work experience: Training Administrator in Dept. of Human Resources for City Bank; -Develops, coordinates and conducts employee training

Prior work experiences: -Staff Development Specialist for C. S. Wo & Sons; Teller Training Supervisor/Staff Training Specialist at Bank of Hawaii

Training Modules conducted: Customer Service; Train-the Trainer workshops; Leadership workshops for managers/supervisors; Time Management at Work; Managing Change; Coaching
